Young Life doesn’t start with a program. It starts with adults concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don’t happen overnight — they take time, patience, trust and consistency so Young Life and WyldLife leaders log many hours with kids where they are, as they are.

Through the power of presence, kids’ lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside sharing the God's love with them. Because their leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.  This is the first step of a lifelong journey; the choices they make today will impact future decisions … Careers chosen, marriages formed, and families build can all ripple from the time when a leader reached out and entered their world.

Interested in joining the team?

We're always looking for incredible people to join our WyldLife and Young Life volunteer leadership teams because the number of leaders we are able to train, equip, and encourage in ministry directly impacts the number of kids we are able to reach for Christ.  There is not a single description of what kind of person makes a good leader.  In fact, if we're going to reach every kid in our community, we need all types of caring adults to do that.  Young Life and WyldLife leaders have personal relationships with Christ and have a deep desire to see middle school and high school students discover the same thing for themselves.  They all look different, have different interests and different personalities but they share the common goal of building relationships with adolescents that allow them to earn the right to be heard when they share the Gospel through their lives as well as their words.
